2004-11-08 - 4:00 p.m. The snow just started falling for the first time this year. Welcome to Buffalo. It’s so pretty but so scary; I think my car shall not survive the winter and that perhaps I will perish with it. It already chugs and lurches while driving, stalls when I try to start it and the engine gets alternately loud and fearsome or quiet…so quiet it sounds like it will just stop working then and there. But the flakes are so fluffy and big and pretty it’s hard to believe that they could cause so much trouble…
